They have decided to leave the breathing tube in for the night and keep her pretty sedated to allow her lungs to dry out and make it easier on her tonight. They hope to remove the tube first thing in the morning. We are praying that they also change out one of her drains early in the morning because after the drain is changed and the tube is out we will then be able to hold her.
Again we just thought we'd post the lyrics of a song that is resonating with our hearts right now.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. We have been amazed and humbled at the outpouring of prayer for Tori. We will try to post another update tomorrow morning after she is off the ventilator.

Hosanna
Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You, we turn to You
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You, we long for You
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Presence all our fears are washed away, washed away
CHORUS
Hosanna, hosanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, hosanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
Hear the sound of hearts returning to You, we turn to You
In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new, You make us new
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Presence all our fears are washed away, washed away

Praying for a peaceful, restful, healing night!
ReplyDeleteDear Father,
ReplyDeleteWould you be so ever present with Tori and Christina tonight...would you cover them with your loving hand and give them peace as Only YOU DO. May they experientially know how present you are. Heal Tori quickly Lord and thankyou for making all go well today. In Christ we pray, Amen
Glad that it is going so well. Praying for deep rest for you all even in the midst of bits of sleep. Remember to keep taking care of yourselves as well as Tori. Praying for health in Tori's lungs as well as her whole body.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on you!
Hi! It's me again...just wanted to let you know that I was able to hold Georgia with her chest tube in (we had to push for it). It was not a super long or comfortable cuddle but it did really calm Georgia. Thought I would throw that out there in case you feel like Tori is in a space where she may need that assurance before the chest tube is out.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Christina,
ReplyDeleteI kept reading your facebook updates with hope and prayers for your sweet little girl! So I came and visited your family blog. Looks like you are right upstairs from where I work. 3rd floor PICU? I'm in labor/delivery on the 2nd floor. Here's to a quick and comfortable recovery for beautiful Tori!
